Beets, squash and other salad bar items from Whole Foods and a homemade smoothie!

Some people are anti-salad bar food and anti-smoothies, but not me! If I get a chance to have something like this, I feel proud! I present to you: Beets, squash and other salad bar items from Whole Foods and a homemade smoothie!

Some people think vegans are “out of touch” for talking about smoothies because “regular people don’t eat smoothies.” 😆. I’m sorry, but smoothies made with non-vegan ingredients are all over the place. At most places, dairy-based yogurt is a default ingredient. My elderly aunt makes smoothies daily and she puts cooked leftover chicken in hers, along with salad greens, yogurt and other leftovers she might want to use up.

On the other hand, plenty of vegan / veganish people like me rarely ever consume smoothies. When I get around to making one, it’s a great achievement! This one was frozen blueberries, banana and plant milk from a couple months back. Probably the only smoothie I’ve had in the past 6 months!

I’m also including some pictures from bridge inspections from the same time when I was eating the above food. We spend hours crawling and hiking around inside dark and noisy bridge interiors like this, day after day. It’s very easy to get injured, so one must be very careful at all times.
