Farewell to Ananda Fuara Vegetarian Restaurant in San Francisco, California USA. Because February 5th, 2023, was their last day, my husband and I stopped by to for one last farewell visit.
My husband and I had our vegan wedding reception here about six years ago. They took such great care of us, preparing vegan meals for our guests, THREE vegan wedding cakes, and a “champagne toast” with non-alcoholic limonada soda. Ananda Fuara will always have a special place in our hearts. Eventually I’ll write a post in here all about our vegan wedding. It was magical and so heart-felt.
Ananda Fuara’s light-filled pastel blue restaurant has been a welcome source of peaceful vibes and vegan and vegetarian brunch, lunch and dinner food, plus the most delicious ALL VEGAN baked desserts for about 40 years, just a block away from San Francisco City Hall.
I’m so sad that they had to close … the clerk at the register told me it was because of (1) office buildings mostly closing down due to people working from home so there’s no longer a lunch crowd, and (2) people not going out as much to the theater shows and concerts in the area so there’s no longer a dinner crowd. How sad, after all these years!
